Monthly Meeting- November

 

The PACT Coalition’s monthly meeting will be held this Wednesday, November 15 at 11:30 am.

Lunch will be provided. 

Please bring flyers you would like to have distributed.

This month’s meeting will feature Guest Speaker Dr. Tiffany Tyler, CEO, Community in Schools of Nevada.  Dr. Tiffany Tyler, the CEO of Community in Schools of Nevada is a published researcher, a psychologist and experienced nonprofit administrator.

Tyler earned a Bachelor’s of Psychology from the University of Southern California, a Master’s in Counseling from California State University-Northridge and a Doctorate of Educational Psychology from The University of Nevada, Las Vegas. 


The mission of Community in Schools, the nation’s leading dropout prevention program is “to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life.”  

 

E-Cigarettes Declared a Health Threat By California Health Officials

A report released Wednesday by the California Department of Public Health says e-cigarettes emit cancer-causing chemicals and get users hooked on nicotine. California Health Officer Ron Chapman says new generations of young people will become nicotine addicts if the products remain largely unregulated.
